God's favour.

Another great words I have heard from Pastor Grey that I decided to share it here because
sharing is caring, and caring is loving.

God’s active favour

How often will anyone desire for God’s favour upon our life. God favour is not based on favouritism or based on what we had done to gain His favour. God’s favour is receiving something we know we don’t deserve. God’s favour is receiving something you know you can’t accomplished with your own strength. Asking God’s favour is also admitting you don’t deserve something but we ask for.

 

 Often people think they deserve something or everything in life, but actually we deserve nothing because everything we have in life are all belong to God, it’s all because of the grace of God that we entrust certain things in life.

 

God will pour out His favour when he sees delight in us, when He is pleased with our life, with the decision we made, when He is pleased with the action we made.

Do you see God’s hand of approval in your life? How often Christian nowadays can live without God’s favour in their life.

What draw God’s attention and fix His attention to us is a heart that is humble, repentance spirit and with the fear of God.

(Repentance mean turning away from sins, walk away from the sinful habit we used to do.)

 

Isaiah 66:2

“For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the Lord, but to this man I will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit and trembleth at my word.”

 

Christian nowadays can live their life without thinking if God is watching them. People can go around and quotes scripture from bible but they do not live a life that bible have taught.  People can always say God is with them no matter where they go but do we not worry that God is looking at us?

 

2 chronicles 7:14-15

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Now mine eyes shall be open, and my ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place.

 

The enemy of our soul have blinded us by telling us that the only way to get God’s attention is by hurting ourselves, by doing anything that agony and painful to us.

But the bible, rather Jesus have already taught us how to get His attention by few simple step. The reality of life, a lot times in life, we are afraid to tell someone that God sees what they trying to hide.

Each day, everything I do, I will remind myself to get my heart right before God. One should humble themselves before they want to repent from their sins.

 

 

We need to go before God with humble heart asking for a favour NOT with the heart saying “I DESERVE THIS, GOD YOU SHOULD GRANT ME THIS AND THIS”.

 

Luke 1:26-30

And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel  was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary. And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind with what manner of salutation this should be. And angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary : for thou has found favour with God.

 

Have you ever ask yourself, why God choose Mary? Well let’s look at another verse.

 

Luke 1:46-52

And Mary said, my soul do magnify the Lord, and my spirit has rejoiced in God my saviour, for he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden; for behold from henceforth all generation shall call me blessed. For he that is mighty hath done to me great things, and holy is his name,

And his mercy is on them that fear him from generation to generation. He hath shewed strength with his arm, he hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts.

 

But one can get attention from God but doesn’t get God’s favour. You need to have joy and delight in doing God’s words. We can go church every Sunday but you need to go church with the right attitude.

 

Psalm 37:4

Delight thyself also in the Lord and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

 

If you are doing things for the sake of doing it, you going to drain out one day, you need to find love to do something for God’s kingdom.

According to the bible, to receive God’s favour, you need to first gain His attention by doing things that pleased and right before Him (heart that is humble, repentance spirit and with the fear of God.) Then you need to have joy and delight in doing things for God’s kingdom to receive His favour.
