POV : You are on maternity leave with your second baby, but it also means you get another maternity leave with your firstborn. 🥹 "Mom can do wonders, you can do it" Day 1 (15 May) After fasting for 26 hours, it’s finally my turn for C-section in the middle of the night. According to the machine, I do have contractions going on, but maybe my pain threshold is high, so I hardly feel my contractions. (yikes) I still remember there’s a mini discomfort and pelvic expansion for the past 26 hours. Here’s my rating for childbirth pain: -contraction 0/10 -checking opening 0/10 -urinary catheter 0/10 -suture 0/10 -epidural 2/10 -placenta removal 2/10 -iv branula 1/10 (MO poor skill ft multiple try error) -post surgery pain 7/10 After surgery, I was escorted to the recovery hall for a good 2 hours to make sure the epidural effect is reducing and I’m able to move my toes. I realize why bible doesn't say "Love your parents" -because love is a feeling but honor is a choice. Even when they don't understand you, even when they are difficult and even when they weren't perfect. -God ask for honor even when love feels hard. When I was little, I always thought growing up would solve many problems, but later I discovered that growing up is just the beginning of the problems. Recently, I’ve been thinking a lot about how to keep someone by your side; how to earn their loyalty and faithfulness. I used to believe that giving more, sacrificing more, or spoiling them with gifts would be enough. But it doesn’t work. Some people are simply never grateful, no matter how much you do for them.
